Pius X High School stabbing suspect arrested in Kansas

Kansas authorities have found a Lincoln Pius X High School student who is the suspect in a stabbing attack on a classmate at the school on Monday.

Lincoln Police say Sarah Piccolo was arrested 250 miles southeast of Lincoln in Woodson County, Kan. On Tuesday morning, authorities say Piccolo told a hotel manager in Yates Center, Kan., that she had been bullied by Pius X students, she regretted what happened and wanted to kill herself.

Lincoln Police Public Information Officer Katie Flood said Piccolo was being held at a juvenile detention facility in Kansas, awaiting transfer back to Lancaster County. On Tuesday, Piccolo was formally charged in the attack with first-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
