Fan spends day at ‘electrifying’ Pinnacle Bank Arena
Swazy Dalrymple spent Saturday afternoon with 15,000 of his closest friends.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln junior is with the Iron N, the student-run organization responsible for all fan activities at Nebraska sporting events. So he was cheering on the Huskers atthe Pinnacle Bank Arena, where Nebraska faced Rutgers.
“It’s always a good time when you come here,” he said. “I mean there’s nothing else to do until Saturday night, so it’s always a good time.”
Although Dalrymple had to miss the previous five home games, there’s no place he’d rather be on a Saturday afternoon than Pinnacle Bank Arena.
“It’s electrifying,” he said. “It’s like a giant family sitting in the stands. We’re all sitting in the stands hoping for a Nebraska win.”
Whether it’s basketball or football — fall or winter — the towering Dalrymple wears the same get-up: tank tops and shorts.
When he’s not trying to lift the spirits of Nebraska fans and athletes, he does another kind of lifting — at the gym.
